aaaaaaaaa I don't want to oversell you on this, I DOUBT IT CAN BE CALLED LEGIT 50-50. I was really pleased with it, but that's because my expectations were low af and I was bracing myself for some YA triangle bullshit where the girls only kissed in my head. So getting something where they'd actually made an effort to have Ryn/Maddie scenes without Guy in sight blew my mind ... but if you go in looking for that from the start, it's probably not as "!!!!!!" as it felt to me. /o\
There's definitely some good personal-space-invasion and kissing and stuff - the show really leans into the "scary fucking apex predator" angle with the mermaids, so S2 has Ryn straight-up murder a guy for hurting Maddie which was super hot to me, help. But I cannot tell a lie, there's also a lot of boring manfeelings, you may be better off sticking with all the fmvs you can find!
