I'm going to sound repetitive to nonnies who have heard me talk about this before, but I love that it really is one of the only things I can think of out there that's an all-female armed force with all the usual opportunities for different ship dynamics that usually just come up in m/m, and that a big part of the theme of at least the first arc is about the characters coming to terms with "actually this series is about a different thing than we expected."
