I want Ruby and Amethyst to hook up! Mostly I kind of wanted Ruby and Sapphire to be apart for an arc so we could learn more about their individual personalities + the reunion would be more delicious, although I do understand that they wanted to end on the Ruphire wedding.

I just really thought Amethyst dug Ruby Rider's cowboy persona, and a confused Ruby searching for her place in life without her girlfriend is completely primed for a tiny fling. When Ruby and Sapphire become Garnet again Amethyst angsts about what could have been.

She's never good enough for anyone, it was useless to try and get in the middle of Garnet's perfect relationship (the likes of which she'll never be good enough to have, etc. etc.). But even though Garnet's back together Ruby and Sapphire start spending more time unfused, often in the same room doing excessive PDA. Ruby sometimes flirts with Amethyst, which makes her angst harder, but then Sapphire starts flirting too...

And then the whole thing ends up in Ruby/Amethyst/Sapphire threesome fusion porn with Amethyst in the middle of a Garnet sandwich. I am never going to write the fic but I like thinking about this segment very much.
