Omg, Charlotte/Lydia is soooo good. I don't quite momkink-ship it myself, because I actually find the platonic/familial aspects of it interesting enough as they are, but it really is just... Charlotte making herself the honey trap for Lydia and then getting in too deep, having to fight which impulses for obeisance and admiration are real while swallowing down the equally very real hate and disgust.

Also, I had been assuming Lydia lost faith in Charlotte because she overheard her and Lady Isabelle plotting against her, but as of the latest episode, it seems like she simply distrusted their closeness. Which reads as a jealousy thing, a possessiveness over Charlotte thing, more than anything. And. >:)
