What non Dragon Age video games with f/f content are out there that you enjoy? What about games with shippable f/f characters? Tell me your favorites!

life is strange! pricefield in the original game and amberprice in before the storm are both very very good

Bayonetta is super shippy with Bayonetta/Jeanne. The beat them all gameplay's difficulty and the heavy sexualization means it will certainly not be everyone's cup of tea but damn, I love them. I hope the third game will have even more shippyness.

Because femslashex nominations have reminded me - for older games, Saga Frontier for the PS1 has some good femslash in Asellus' route. The game is up there with Xenogears in terms of being unfinished, but I still love it so, and Asellus/White Rose was one of my first f/f ships.

For a recent game like Saga Frontier but notably more complete, Octopath Traveler has great female characters and there's a good amount of f/f art and fic.

The fandom seems wanky as fuck from the outside and I don't really like multiplayer anyway, but oh my god some of the Overwatch characters are hot. The evil scientist lady seems like she was designed specifically to suit my tastes! And it has multiple girls in mecha suits! I just really wish the canon itself was something I might actually enjoy, because all the fanart of it is great, and I really want to be able to get invested in the fic too :( But if anyone has any fanart of the evil scientist molesting the bunny girl please share?

The convenient(?) thing about the game is that you do not actually need to be able to play the game to consume canon content of the characters. The cinematics and comics are available on Youtube and the official website respectively. And (honestly...) most of the characters and their relationships can be summed up by the content on their Wiki pages.

I'm into a LOT of games, so I'll just post the ones I've been thinking about lately:

-Lovestruck, mobile VN collection, bi-focused VNs with several f/f options as iddy and angsty as the male options.

-Choice of Games, queer interactive fiction compedium app. There's lesbian Jeeves and Wooster pastiche! (Hosted Games, its sister app, is lower quality, but I whole-heartedly recommend Fallen Hero and Wayhaven and give a 'have you ever wanted the trashiest, iddiest early 2000s anime het dudefic but lesbian' to Samurai of Hyuga.)

-Love Nikki is not explicitly f/f but only in that there is never any explicit kissing. The main pairing, Nikki/Kimi, is painfully fluffy, but all the pretty clothes tend to have crazy shippy backstories.

-The Fate/Extra series is weird because it clearly assumes the PC is male, but the female PC still gets to romance all the waifus and it's kind of great. And the sequel which has never been localized has all sorts of f/f villainships and yandere and it's delightful if utterly trashy.

I love Choice of Broadsides. I firmly believe that the player and Villeneuve both make it through the war and then live together.

Lovestruck! What is the iddiest f/f route, in your opinion? I've only played through Medusa, Mackenzie and Altea, which is my favorite so far. Oh, and a tiny bit of Lorelei.

Borderlands! Most of the f/f content is in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and, subsequently, Tales from the Borderlands. Prey (2017) also has a few canon f/f ships and I like the game a lot. Oh, and Mass Effect, of course.

As for shippable f/f characters: Oxenfree, Dishonored (as mentioned above), Skullgirls, and Night in the Woods (though YMMV on that last, apparently).

A Little Lily Princess is a stat-raising VN retelling A Little Princess but with lesbians and it is excellent. Black Closet is a game by the same people revolving around a powerful student council at an elite private all-girls school and their attempts to clamp down on any possible scandals-it's much more gamey, and quite fun if difficult. Both have three of the available routes as romantic and two as not, as a warning. (The platonic routes are Mariette and Charlotte in ALLP and Thais and Mallory in Black Closet.)

Loren the Amazon Princess is...something. It's a pulpy obvious DA ripoff where you can be gay with Totally Not Morrigan and the female PC is an elven slave to the Amazons. It's kind of like that.

Monster Prom, while somewhat disliked on meme, is a fun and fluffy black comedy bisexual dating sim/stat raiser. It's not longterm interesting, but it's fun.

*A Little Lily Princess has 4 romantic routes and 2 platonic! I forgot about Becky!

I enjoyed Black Closet (my wonderful Vonne!) but I actually never managed to win LOL.

I love A Little Lily Princess! I get the sense that Lavinia and Jessie are more popular, but I like Becky and Ermengarde best. Probably from all the years of being a fan of the book, tbh.

I like Billie/Delilah from Dishonored as mentioned above, and even more Billie/Emily. Some perfect angst and identity porn there. Or just going totally dark, since Emily can kill Billie.

Also if you play as Female Morgan Yu in Prey, there's canon f/f, since Morgan's ex-gf remains the same regardless of PC gender. And as she's one of the main NPCs, you can have some really nice moments with her, though it's not a romance in the way something like DA is, since it's just not that type of game. Also though this is more tragic, another major NPC has a girlfriend who was killed and who she asks Morgan to get revenge for. (I should note here that the vast majority of people on the station are killed, it's a horror game with aliens escaping on a space station, so it doesn't feel bury your gays to me.)

Aw, yes, those two were so cute! Thanks for the fanart links, I hadn't seen any of those before.

Horizon Zero Dawn doesn't have any romances for Aloy, but there are very strong shippy vibes (including some actual flirting) with a number of female characters. I'm particularly partial to Aloy/Talanah, I just really loved their dynamic, Talanah sponsoring Aloy at the lodge and Aloy in turn helping her advance to become Sunhawk. And hunting robot dinosaurs is really the best way to bond. And just how they really bonded over their shared feelings of being outsiders. Talanah echoing Aloy referring to herself as "despite the Nora" was just lovely. <3

I've only watched a little of someone else playing HZD, but goddamn did I enjoy how Aloy interacted with that girl who was undergoing the trial or whatever with her at the very start of the game... I was all ready to ship them!

Mass Effect might be too obvious given it's the same studio, but I feel I should throw it out there anyway since it does also have canon f/f options and some very shippable non-canon f/f. The canon options are a bit more limited than in Dragon Age, and I feel like Mass Effect romances in general get a bit less content than Dragon Age ones, but I liked a lot of what there was. (I will add that ME2 is frustratingly skewed towards having mainly het options, though - you can only continue your ME1 romance in DLC, and the only new f/f options introduced in that game aren't full romances, so you can't get the romance achievement without playing het or using bi mods /still kind of bitter about that. ME3 is better, though.)

I still kind of regret I couldn't get into Argilla/Jinana because oh of course the only woman in the group is the pacifist who refuses to eat people of course she is and of course the only female leader of any of the tribes is the pacifist who goes mad with hunger at refusing to eat people and you have to kill. They did really have chemistry! And there's a ton in the canon I'd like to explore!

But man, I was so aggravated that even in the everyone in this is a demon cannibal AI who are stuck in a world of neverending war, the women were the pacifists.
