I don't really have anything against Dimitri/Anastasia as it, but for some reason the thought "but imagine Dimitri AS A WOMAN!" always occurs when I rewatch the movie. There's a lack of charmingly cynical women planning to make a fortune by deceiving an old woman, and who then falls in love with the fake-lost-grand-duchess-who-is-actually-the-lost-grand-duchess-for-real.
