Ugh, yes. I’ve read *mumblemumble* fics about f!Harry Potter, but the ones where f!Harry is still rarely interested in studying, has messy hair, and loves Quidditch are few and far between. Being a woman doesn’t make you interested in makeup or fashion or whatever; I can see it for some r63 characters (catch f!Lando Calrissian looking less than her best, ever, I dare you) but that’s a character trait.

Sadly, most f!Harry seems to end in either het (this is not the place for my thoughts on Draco Malfoy but I HAVE THOUGHTS AND NONE OF THEM ARE GOOD) or in f!Harry/Hermione. Or crossovers.

Thanks. That's been my experience too. I love the concept of f!Harry but I don't get the appeal of Drarry when they're both men, I get it even less when it's gender swapped to het. Someone I used to follow on tumblr had a f!Harry/Ron AU which was really sweet but the difference between how Harry and Ron related to each other in their genderswapped AUs (the occasional f!Harry/f!Ron was why I followed them) and their normal stuff was negligible.
