Re: Mythology
(Anonymous) 2018-08-13 01:40 pm (UTC)(link)Let's say they met in springtime. Eurydice is an oak nymph, a daughter of Apollo, so why wouldn't they meet when Persephone runs freely across the earth, without any cares or duties? I bet she plays with all the nymphs. But Eurydice, she likes her a lot. So much so that when she returns from a winter below only to find her married, she's enraged. Like dude, she wasn't done with that one yet!
So she sends a viper, and swallows her up. (and can I just say, think about Persephone re-enacting her own primordial trauma on other maidens. hmmm.)
Now this is kind of a divergence from the myth as I've heard it, but... what if it were Eurydice who was not allowed to look back if she wished to ascend, but couldn't resist a backward glance.
