i hate information being conveyed in video form

me too. I wish it was normalized to do a text summary for any kind of informative/news video, I read so much faster than I can watch a video.

the worst is when i'm trying to read an article only for video to autoplay in the background

and then it pops out and follows you down the screen and covers up the text you're trying to read!

it really makes you wonder what the point of the article is if they're so desperate to get you to watch the video instead

same, i just have more trouble paying attention to it than text, it's an adhd thing (for me)

I miss when the Internet was primarily text-based.
