It's a full 12 hours earlier than I thought it was! I'm in CEST time and apparently I find 12 AM a hard concept.

I got the closing time mixed up too and missed signups because I thought I had twelve more hours. Oh well, I'll try to do treats.

One of the signups that just showed up for The Spy Who Dumped Me is amazing. I so want someone to write "Morgan's attempts at romantic gestures are misunderstood as threats to national security" for Morgan/Wendy. (Wendy being Gillian Anderson's character.)

Wow, that was quicker than I thought it would be!

I really like my assignment - I know and love many of the fandoms on this person's list although I didn't offer them all and it looks like we enjoy a lot of the same things. In fact I'd already bookmarked a couple of their prompts as potential treats, so I'm pretty lucky!

I was disappointed to see a sign up for one of my favourite fandoms disappear though - I looked through all the requests a few days ago but it looks like that person decided not to sign up after all and I hope they're OK!

Mine is good! Two fandoms I offered, three more fandoms I know but didn't offer... and one fandom I don't know, but have been considering picking up. I'm spoiled for choice.

I'm excited for mine - I didn't get the person I was trying to get assigned to (I didn't game it that hard), but I did get someone I respect and moreover someone who is also requesting something I decided not to offer after being on the fence about, so I guess I have a chance to reconsider?

How's it going, nonnies? Decided what you want to do with your assignments yet?

I've decided which ship I'm going to write, since we did match on more than one. I have some broad ideas for how I'm going to start the fic and what the characters' relationship will be like, but there's a big question inherent to the premise of the ship (sorry to be vague, lol) that I have to decide how to answer before I can start, I think.

I haven't even narrowed down which canon yet. Do I write Fandom 1, where I'm a known quantity and feel like I have a reputation to live up to, or Fandom 2, where the fandom is mostly het and I'm comfortably obscure? Or branch out and write in New-To-Me Fandom 3, where I'd have to obtain canon?

I'd go with Fandom 3, unless you think there's a decant chance that you won't enjoy and/or have anything to say about the canon. If that's the case, I think it comes down to whether or not you think putting out more femslash into a het-heavy fandom is a worthy goal in itself; I wouldn't worry about your reputation, if you're popular in Fandom 1 I'm sure people will love whatever you come up with! (And probably read your older fics in that fandom too if they like your exchange fic.)

All good points! I've been meaning to try Fandom 3 for a while, and it won't be hard to get ahold of; maybe I'll start there.
