Wow, this one was intense.
- I take back everything I've ever said about Aaeru being more prepared for war because that was one dumbass move. Though I do appreciate how metal she was about literally hacking that guy's hands off.

- Morinas and Aaeru aren't gelling! Aaeru's going too fast, and not really matching Morinas's pace. It's kind of like she thinks she's piloting on her own. In a related "incompatible with Aaeru" category, it's never not going to be uncomfortable seeing characters lock lips with the like, 9-year-old.

- The worldbuilding for the enemy nation is really interesting. I know that this show is not necessarily woke as we understand it, but "the evil empire assigns sex at birth and the enlightened one lets you choose when you get older" is a thing that I appreciate. Though I do hope it doesn't end in industry = bad, pure religious devotion = good, I'm really glad that we're getting the enemy perspective this early.
