"Which isn't a bad thing" -- oh please. Even if you insist you don't mean anything bad by it, most people consider "migratory" fans to be "lesser" fans. Oh, look at those migrating fans; they're not dedicated like we are.

Well, the flipside of "dedication" is "overinvestment," so you can sling insults from both sides.

And as social media becomes more and more transient and soundbite-oriented, I suspect "migratory fandom" is going to become how the majority of people do fandom in the near future. So you have that going for you.

i'm not sure how i feel about social media becoming more transient and relying on fewer and fewer words as i miss the days of actual forums, where you can have actual conversations and debates

and i can only feel like that'll affect fandom for the worst

If you're going to be offended by me when I was literally telling you I didn't mean anything bad by it and felt your way of doing fandom was fine, please take it to the wank containment area.

If you're going to jump right to assuming I'm "offended" rather than "tired of being called migratory just because I like more than one fandom", maybe you should take it to the wank thread.

LOL. "No, I'm not being wanky, YOU ARE." This is hilarious. Want to start with some "I am rubber, you are glue" too?
