I don't know, I also see a lot of people acting like shipping femslash and het, or slash and het, is mutually exclusive. It annoys me, too.

I see it a lot more with slash and het than with femslash and het, which in many of my fandoms have always been assumed to exist in automatic harmony. But it may really be particular to the fandom spaces I've been in, and it is annoying every time, when you ship both.

That's fair, I mean, I might just see that less because I genuinely don't ship het and don't hang around with a lot of people who ship het, lol! I suppose there are people for whom any combination might be mutually exclusive, I just don't like the assumption that it Must Be So, Because (Mumble, Something, Mumble). There are tons of people who like many combinations!
