I've wanted to get into this pairing, but the fandom used to put me off. Too much "why are you watching [thing with only subtext] when you could be watching POI??." I lol'd when half thier ship got killed off, anyway. Though I still want to watch and ship it, so...

Aw man, that sucks. :( I binged it on Netflix without knowing in advance that canon would Go There, which was probably for the best. Overzealous evangelical fans can be a huge turnoff. So it was a nice surprise to get in the middle of my surveillance dystopia and weird AI meta, but I was already enjoying the show for other reasons.

AKA: it's a five-season canon-divergence AU of Captain America 2 and Shaw was my problematic fave even before bad guys tried to turn her into the Winter Soldier, and... look, I never said they were respectable reasons

Because being a fan of some f/f ships means can't enjoy a bit of karma when an annoyingly smug fandom has to eat thier own words?

Jfc the amount of godawful "The 100 is better than your show" I had to endure, while Lexa was still alive.
