Who does everyone else here like to romance (or wish they could romance)?

I tend to do Leliana (rather it were Morrigan tbh), Isabela (love of my life!), and Sera.

in dao i've romanced leliana (which is the worldstate i import into dai because i like ending with divine leliana and her warden elf gf) and morrigan with the same-sex romance mod

in da2 i've romanced isabela, she's my fave dragon age f/f romance

in dai i've romanced josephine and am currently working my way through a sera romance. i really wish i could romance cassandra though (i think there might be a mod for it but i only have dai on console :/)

I...never finished dao, I was so frustrated with the gameplay that I gave up in Orzammar's tunnels. (After Redcliffe and the Circle and the Andraste quest too, so idk man) Probably would have gone for leliana like the lesbian i am

DA2 I went for Isabela, I've played that game a second time just to romance her again. F!Hawke/Isabela is truly one of my favorite video game romances of all time, especially the friendmance, and it makes me have the silliest of sappy feelings.

DAI I got rejected by Cassandra and then romanced Josephine - who I love, don't get me wrong, but the dueling for her hand against her suitor subplot felt like such a het subplot that I couldn't get into it. Plus the bad animation for F!Cadash spinning her around in the air, RIP

I'm not sure if you're on PC, but you should know if you are that there is a mod for that:

It won't work on the (shorter!) DLC but it will make the main quest an awful lot better for you. I couldn't make it through the game without it.

I love Leliana so much. The red hair, the cute accent, the radical heresy, the tension between enjoying violence and genuinely wanting to minimize it. The Inquisition epilogue where she's all "What do you mean I have to stop fucking my wife if I'm the pope? I'm the pope! I get to decide who has to do what!" is possibly the purest moment of joy in the whole series for me.

I also love Isabela and Merrill, but I ship them way more with each other than with Hawke. Every time Isabela calls Merrill "kitten" I get all melty.

Isabela/Merrill is so great! "Kitten" and "Isabela said she'd teach me how to do something called... body shots?" And Merrill admiring her swagger and her experiencedness. I love it so much!

i genuinely love leliana as well especially her weird quirks like being a little creepy in origins with the eyelash comment or her love of nugs
ntm it's kind of hot how she gloms onto the nearest strong female figure and devotes herself to serving her

saaaame on one hand i'm glad they're both canonically into women and that they have the close relationship they have but on the other the no-homo'ing was incredibly unnecessary

they used actual resources on a no-homo when they could have allocated the resources to something else entirely

Aveline/f!Hawke, though.

Ngl, when I first met Aveline I instantly thought "there's a woman who's in charge in bed". And every time she gives Hawke that "I'm so proud of you" look when Hawke does something she approves of, I'm getting a bit weak in the knees. Patient but stern, and sometimes a bit sappy, dom!Aveline/quippy purple sub!Hawke would be so hot.
