I'm watching Revue Starlight right now and I haven't gotten to the most Maya/Claudine-heavy episodes yet, but they've got a lot of promise. It's a magical realism anime set at a school for the performance arts where they are two of the top students and therefore in direct competition, both for mundane things like casting in the school play and in the underground magical girl fight club.
