I attended last year and found it really, really celebrity-oriented -- it felt like any panel or event that wasn't focused on an actor or showrunner was an afterthought. There was no organization for the scheduled meetups of canon pairings and you had to PAY to see any of the movies they were showing, indie or fan-created or otherwise. I'd heard the first year was much more fan-focused and I was disappointed. So I'm not too shocked the founder was outed and the new con runners are focused on making it for-profit. I'm sad about it, though. I'd never seen such a big, connected femslash con before, but it feels like the community is so ready to eat its own in terms of people profiting off of fans, and fans ready to tear down efforts at community-building for not being perfectly inclusive, or based in a history they like, etc.
