I've seen Princess Principal and loved it! Ange/Charlotte is a great pairing too, though I came out of the series shipping Dorothy/Beatrice even more.

That's the closest to Finé/Izetta I can think of, but you might enjoy Simoun and some of its ships.

That just means we have great taste! I don't know if any upcoming anime series will be similar to Izetta or Princess Principal, but at least we'll have the Princess Principal movies soon.

Jane the Virgin! I'm into bright colors, goofy narrators, lovable characters, and complex women. Where can I find another ship like Jane/Petra?

Hmm, I want to say Crazy Ex-Girlfriend might have a similar vibe? A lot heavier with mental health stuff, but it is very bright (it's a musical!), the women are complex (and sometimes lovable!).

I think Valencia's arc as a woman who's treated as an antagonist by the narrative at first (the protagonist's love rival, anyway) but then slowly becomes her friend might appeal to you. She finds it difficult to connect with other women and gets so excited to finally have female friends! And she gets a canon f/f love interest in S4, a little like Petra/JR.

I wouldn't say either of the more common Valencia f/f ship options is at all like Jane, but I think if you like Petra you'll like Valencia, at least.

I actually have seen Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and I love it, especially Valencia's arc! (I do wish we'd seen more of her relationship with her girlfriend onscreen, but I get that there's only so much room in a season).
