I rewatched The Birds recently. Reminded me of two things: 1) I like earlier Hitchcock so much better. His id was just TOO obvious by that point and it can get seriously embarrassing (and depressing, ofc, when you hear about Tippi Hedren's treatment). That last attack we see, the one that leaves Melanie catatonic, those rapey vibes... D: 2) I love what we see of Melanie/Annie, even if their relationship is basocally all about a boring man. They work well together! Annie gives Melanie some seriously gay looks! :(
