It was basically all Star Trek for me, and after that I got super into Alex/Oliva (SVU).

Can I just say that the holy trinity of Janeway/B'Elanna/Seven was really such a god damn powerhouse of femslash potential? And not just ~for the time, either, because honestly it's still not that common to have a female-lead show with more than one other equally strong/prominent female characters to ship in all combinations.

Voyager had problems (like no canon LGBTQ rep of course) but it had a diverse cast and the women were A+ all round (stg, nothing got done on that ship without one of them fixing it with science and/or badassery). There's a reason it was such a formative fandom for bb lesbian me.

+1

Voyager was so good to me as a baby shipper. Hell, Trek in general was good to me, Troi/Crusher, Crusher/Janeway and Kira/Ro were all influential ships.

Also I know it's heresy but I always preferred Gabrielle/Aphrodite and Xena/Callisto over Xena/Gabrielle.

Alex/Olivia is such a great forgotten ship.

It was everywhere for a while! When I think of my early lj days it was all SVU and reading everything at passion and perfection.
