I personally ship them for similar reasons and it's always such a tire-screech moment to be having fun talking m/m with someone and then have them write off all femslash ships as vegetables/trying to get SJ points/boring/whatever, or to be expected as a very avid and vocal femslasher to share people's hostility towards m/m and slash fandom. Like you said, nobody is obligated to like anything, it's fine for other m/m shippers to not be into femslash or for other femslashers to not be into m/m! But it's just the implied expectation that We're All Like That (Or Else You're Lying) that gets me every time.
