That wasn't me who responded to it, actually! I'm also reading on flatview, I just find it kind of tedious. (Though I also think "really it's your fault for responding to the wanky thing in the first place!" is kind of dumb. For one this seems like the kind of troll who'd sameanon all over the place.)

I don't want statements like "homophobes are probably asexual" to become unchallenged background noise, though. Like, on the one hand, sexuality wank sucks and is annoying, but on the other, I feel like nobody saying anything normalizes that opinion, which would make this meme an objectively less pleasant place for me and many other people.

Driveby "You rule, nonny" reply. I feel the same way. This meme has been pretty great so far, and I don't really see the utility in "ignoring" arbitrary hostility that feeds gatekeeping more than anything.
