In that case what's keeping people from all deciding to be dudes for the job prospects?

I read one person's take which suggested that sexism is the way that society prevents everyone from choosing to be female forever, ie. keep their existing female bodies as they grow up. Which I can kind of get, but at the same time, it's very fanwanky.
