Re: Mythology
Date: 2018-08-08 04:05 pm (UTC)Through their connection Hera learns that sometimes she has to emotionally disengage and not take things personally, and Artemis learns that she's not as objective as she thinks she is and sometimes, yes, it can be fun to be petty.

Okay I was skeptical but I am coming around. Thinking on it, they're really the antithesis of each other, aren't they? I've always tended to pair Artemis and Athena as the opposites, savagery vs civilization, but it works just as well with Hera. Hera tames beasts, Artemis runs free with them. Hera is all about social society and structure and the specific kind of power women wield by aligning with patriarchy, Artemis is a rejection of all those things. It would be so messy. ...I like it. Imagine the situations they would drag each other into!
