They're a great ship, and the various timelines make it fun to explore different interpretations in fic and art. I pretty much ship all combinations of the five main girls (Madoka/Kyouko! Homura/Mami! Sayaka/Mami! and so on), but I think my OTP might be Mami/happiness.

Have you ever read the A Different Story manga, anon? There's definitely some strong Mami/Sayaka vibes in that one, though it ends tragically just when it seems like they're about to get closer.

They were really good! I remember watching the entire series just because someone rec'd Love/Setsuna to me.

I finally watched the original Futari Wa Pretty Cure and I cannot begin to properly express my love for NagiHono. They just hit all of my favorite battle couple tropes over and over again and it was pure joy.

My all-time favorite Pretty Cure ship, though, is still Love/Setsuna from Fresh Precure. Enemies-to-lovers femslash where the the villain assumes a false identity to seduce befriend the heroine but then falls for her for real.

Really every season of Pretty Cure has enormous femslash potential. I have yet to get through one without shipping something.

I'm rewatching Madoka now (the friend that originally showed me it and I are showing it to my girlfriend) and it really is so good. I forgot that on my first rewatch I'd of course know what Homura's early-series mysterious utterances were all about! I'm enjoying the perspective.

I think we're going to watch the movie after this, which I also haven't seen.
