I watched this with a fellow lesbian and we both held our breath every time Anne Hathaway came onscreen wearing a low-cut off-the-shoulders dress.

I wish the characters had all interacted with each other more. I didn't get a sense for how they all bounced off each other. But I did get a sense for how each of them stood alone, which is enough for guessing the rest.

Maybe you thought a fandom would be het or m/m all the way down, but femslash Found A Way. Maybe there was X/Y staring you in the face with subtext, or even text, but the fandom latched onto X/Z or A/B instead.

Was just revisiting Final Fantasy XIII as a comfort fandom, and I am still delighted by the popularity of Fang/Lightning, especially considering that Fang/Vanille is like, right there. I mean, I like Fang/Vanille too, but I like Fang/Lightning more. And it's even more surprising and delightful that it's one of the most popular ships in the fandom, period.

i didn't see a thread for this show, and i'm dying to talk about the canon one-sided(?) f/f ship in it. it's so hurt-no-comfort-y, meme, with Heather (a cop, who might have been in love with her high school best friend Marin (current status: unknown)).

Marin might be dead long before the time of the season's events, but they give us flashbacks of her relationship and friendship with Heather, and the latest episode pretty much hinted that she might be alive? or is that just me desperately hoping because what show would miss the opportunity of a good, angsty reunion??

anyway, there are still 3 more episodes to go, the show is a little disturbing (for me at least), and you don't need to watch S01.

i like Heather a lot, she's just starting her career and fumbling a little at the beginning of the case, but the more things progress the better she gets at the detective work. also i have a crush on her.

i love best friends being touchy and/or intimate with each other, so good for h/c (especially when one of them is in love with the other) or fwb but like, with actual friendship bond between them.

i just watched the first couple episodes of this and it's pretty gay! it seems to be a vaguely utena-inspired theatrical anime about Definitely Not Takurazuka acting students fighting each other in dramatic symbolic stage fights to have a chance at stardom. the character designs aren't all that exciting, but the animation is very nice, the only non-girl character is a giraffe, after two episodes i already have like 4 ships, and there seems to be pretty minimal Anime Bullshit thus far (deliberately avoiding pantyshots, no "uwahhh your boobs are so big!!" moments between the girls, that kind of thing).

What do you do when you can see the well start to run dry in your fandom? Stay and be the change? Lower your standards and read absolutely any f/f fic that turns up? Move on to a more femslash-friendly fandom?

I'm kind of in the process of facing the fact that f/f in my relatively small fandom has been on a steep decline for the past year or so. I'm a "be the change" type myself, so I'm still here and still writing it, but I can't deny feeling a little disheartened. Last year's Femslash February was almost nonexistent in my fandom and I kinda wish I'd taken the initiative and promoted it more heavily myself. Hope to do so this coming year, at least. To be clear, I don't think guilt-tripping people is effective and I have no interest in that, only in trying to spread enthusiasm. I know some people would probably tell me to just move on. But I still have stories I want to tell, and I'm just not ready to leave this fandom yet.
